Fight Your Way Out

It's easy to get lost in the giant shuffle of life, to be pushed down to whatever role and spot others wish for you. Sometimes you have to fight all that chaos just to claim that one little bit of everything you've always wanted. It's risky to stand out, but it can be well worth it.


We have rather thick vines and leaves coating the front of our house. Despite almost a foot thick of viney tangles, a single yellow flower (not sure on the type offhand) managed to fight its way through. It now basks in the sun, somehow managing to avoid the wrath of our neighbor's plant-pouncing cat.
